Garbage and Recycling
Every Thursday is garbage and recycling collection unless it follows a holiday. Be sure to check out the calendar on the Garbage and Recycling tab. Have your items out the night before to ensure pickup the following morning.
Under the Garbage and Recycling tab you will find a brochure you can click on to explain the items to be recycled and how they need to be recycled.
Large items such as mattresses or couches can be picked up at no charge. Call 1.888.960.0008 (customer#20-20381-02375) as the pickup must be scheduled. Items such as white goods, electronics, or building materials must be taken by the resident to a disposal center.
Property Taxes
The first installment whether be in full or only the first half is due to the municipal clerk in person at 511 Division Street or by mail at PO Box A, Withee WI 54498. The second installment is due to the Clark County Treasurer at 517 Court Street, Rm. 302, Neillsville WI 54456.
The first installment whether you are paying the taxes in full or just the first installment are due by January 31st of each year. The second installment would then be due by July 31st.
Under the property taxes tab on the vertical listing, you will find a listing by year of the property taxes and you can search your name in alphabetical order. Also, you can search by name and/or parcel number on the Clark County website http://clarkcowi.wgxtreme.com/ .
Dogs
Each dog that is five (5) months of age or older residing in the Village of Withee needs to be licensed by April 1st of each year. Within thirty (30) days of moving into the municipality, dogs must be licensed. Dog licenses are obtained at the Village Clerk office.
You will need a copy of the certificate of rabies vaccination which would include the date vaccinated, manufacturer, serial number of vaccine and the expiration date.
If the dog is spayed or neutered the fee would be $3.00 and if not the fee is $8.00. If licensed after the April 1st deadline or beyond 30 days of moving into the municipality, there will be a late fee of $5 per dog in addition to the regular fee.
Water Department
The monthly water/sewer/garbage bill is usually due by the 27th of the month, unless the 27th falls on a weekend or holiday, then it is the following weekday.
Payments can be made:
- online at ub-pay.com (muni ID# WitheeWI498)
- placed in Village Clerk drop box on the east side of building facing Division Street
- mailed to Village Clerk, PO Box A, Withee, WI 54498
For either disconnecting (due to moving from Withee) or connecting (due to moving into Withee), call the Village of Withee Clerk at 715.229.4319.
There are six agencies that might be able to help with Past Due account.
Clark Co Dept of Social Services (715.743.5236) can help with past due water and sewer and has other programs to help with mortgage or rent payments.
Indianhead Community Action Agency (715.532.4222) has a program called Rapid Response that can help with utilities, mortgage, auto repairs, transportation, food, and phone.
CIL Western Wisconsin (715.233.1070) can help with housing, food, transportation, and technology.
Wisconsin Emergency Rental Assistance Program (715.530.5044) can help with utility & home energy and rent payments.
