In accordance with Withee Village ordinances section 8-1-4 and 8-1-5, lawns, grasses, and noxious weeds exceeding 8” in length are considered a public nuisance and adversely affect the health and safety of the village residents.  These ordinances are not only for your protection but for the protection of the public at large.

The village board as well as your neighbors and the other village residents request you maintain your lawn or lot to comply with these requirements.  If the lawn or lot is not mowed, the village has the right to cause such action to abate the nuisance.  These expenses may be assessed against the owner of the property.
